This inspired my family’s newish literary tradition a few years back. It’s almost time for Jólabókaflóðið! If you’re not familiar with this term, it roughly translates to Christmas book flood and refers to Icelanders’ tradition of exchanging books on Christmas Eve and reading at home for the rest of the evening.
